Mary Gentry

Instructor / Choreographer



Mary has been dancing for 26 years, and teaching for 16 years. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from George Mason University in 2009 where she majored in Communications, and minored in Dance Appreciation. Following college, she lived in Los Angeles for a year where she trained, auditioned, and also worked for Nappytabs. Mary has had the privilege to work closely with many of today’s top choreographers, including her principal dance role in The Hannah Montana Movie. She has won the 2005 World Dance Champion, 2005 Famecast award, Monsters for Life award, and many other scholarships. She has assisted choreographers such as Nappytabs, Chonique & Lisette, Kevin Maher, Brian Friedman, and has trained with many more. For 3 years, she traveled to teach both independently with master classes and as a faculty member with Dance Educators of America and Connected Conventions all over the country as well as Mexico and South Korea. She still travels to teach at various studios and conventions, but her heart belongs to GJDC. Mary loves her GJDC family and is so proud of all of her dance kids!
